Today when Miss Lane came to visit we read the big book 'The Hungry Giant'. We were LEARNING to sequence a story, describe a character and recognise digraphs. We then CREATED an Explain Everything slide show to show what we had learnt. Then we SHARED our learning using the Apple TV with the class and we are SHARING it with the world on our blog. Have a look!
We used the book to help us sequence the story.
We drew The Hungry Giant and labelled his physical characteristics.
Listen to us recording the story using the microphone tool.
We had a digraph treasure hunt.
Hi Room 6, Miss Lane and Whaea Anita
ReplyDeleteWOW..... what fabulous descriptions about 'The Hungry Giant' you have created using Explain Everything. Your vocabulary and drawings make me want to come and be a student with you all in Room 6.
I love the way you are ALL concentrating on the videos you are recording. Such super learning.
YOU ARE ALL LEARNING SO MUCH using reading, speaking, writing, drawing and digital learning using the ipads.....
PS.......don't forget to come and say HI to me in Room 4.....please!
Mrs Law
Kia ora Room 6,
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures and labels you made of "The Hungry Giant." It was lots of fun hearing you retell the story. Isn't "bommy knocker" a funny phrase? Though I wouldn't want to be hit by one!
See you tomorrow,
Whaea Bronwyn
Kia Ora Whaea Anita and Room 6, Its Anuk from Manukau class.
ReplyDeleteWhat marvellous work you have done! Your drawings are so good I wish I could draw as good as Room 6! You used a range of descriptive language to describe 'The Hungry Giant'. It looks like you had fun making those digraphs! I would love to see more work from Room 6!
Keep Up The Great Work!
